The Center's history
The Center on Dispute Resolution focuses on integrating the theory and practice of dispute resolution. Since 1998, the center has created opportunities for both dispute resolution professionals and law students to engage in dialogue and attend training to develop knowledge and skills in this growing field. Quinnipiac Law's dispute resolution program is ranked 15th in the nation by U.S. News & World Report in its 2022-2023 Best Graduate School rankings.
Carolyn "Carrie" Wilkes Kaas, Co-Director of the Center, discusses the Center’s comprehensive and creative perspective on dispute resolution in the following podcast: https://craftingsolutionstoconflict.com/podcast/carolyn-kaas-esq-on-quinnipiac-laws-innovative-dispute-resolution-center. Kaas explains that the Center’s vision is to re-imagine law as a healing profession: problem-solving, reducing conflict, and having the whole lawyer work with the whole client.
